Quality factors
Color
Although cubic zirconia can be made in almost any color, white is the most sought after. White cubic zirconia gemstones closely resemble diamonds.
carat
The weight of a gemstone is measured in carats (ct). One carat weighs approximately 0.2 grams. Generally, the heavier a gemstone, the more valuable it is.
purity
Often, artificial inclusions and impurities are created in zirconia because they appear more natural.
cut
Zirconia is often processed into a brilliant cut because this is how it most resembles a diamond.

Zirconia and its History
In the 1970s, the diamond imitation zirconia had its final breakthrough and commercial production began. Research into its production had already been carried out in France in the 1960s, but at that time it was only possible to produce very small crystals. The technology was later perfected in Moscow.
Zirconia is now a very common substitute for diamonds. However, it cannot even come close to their beauty and special aura.

occurrence of zirconia
Zirconia is a man-made crystal of zirconium oxide that has been stabilized in the high-temperature cubic phase. Zirconia can be produced in numerous sizes, shapes and colors.
