Necklace sketch
The creation of the necklace according to customer requirements began with intensive discussions and various design concepts.
The customer did not yet have a clear idea, so we were inspired by René Sim Lacaze's designs.
The end result should be a timeless, highly elegant necklace.
Diamonds on wax plate
In the next step, the individual diamonds were selected and arranged on a wax plate in the shape of the necklace in order to get a first impression of the diamond necklace and to be able to determine the final number of diamonds.
The necklace ultimately consisted of 78 individual diamonds.
Elegant claw setting
The necklace is made of 36g gold and 8g palladium and the individual diamonds are held in place with the help of a claw setting.
In the lower part of the necklace shown here, four diamonds of 1 carat, 1.7 carats, 3 carats and 5 carats were set.
A true masterpiece
The collaboration with the customer – from the first design idea to the completion of the diamond necklace – lasted a total of six months.
The preparation of the jointly developed draft took another six weeks.
The special thing about this necklace is the sophisticated and invisible movement, so that it nestles comfortably around the neck, always finds the perfect shape and, despite its weight, is barely noticeable for the wearer.
